The world would have me believe the significance of what I do rests in it hands. That my effort is not valued as work until it is substantiated. Leading me to conclude that it desires not that I work but that my work further it’s design. In the same way the rich do not truly want a man to feed himself. Their actual intent is to control the dispersal of food and water that way each man must work for them. Making them dependent strips them of leverage. Fair wages then become an illusion; pay may appear fair if it is enough to have comfort. In this, even comfort is monetized. To summarize: most people are unfulfilled in their work because they are working to sustain the upper-class, because they are unfulfilled they reach for comfort by way of consumption, and they are paid just enough to make consumption appear to be the only option for immediate relief.
So my question is this, will you allow this world to tell you what you are worth? If you’re answer is yes, will you trust it to be honest? Because I do not. I also place no blame on those that fall victim to financial pressures, as we all do. I only urge that you be considerate to those who have been broken under the weight of them. That you would understand the war within the minds of those who have been told that they are worthless. That you would work not only on improving your own financial standings but on repairing the people who have been cast aside.
